Written by Steve Martin
Directed by Teri Caust
Actor/comedian/musician Steve Martin (yes, that Steve Martin) is also a talented playwright (Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Meteor Shower) who adapted this farcical send-up of bourgeois snobbery and conformity set in 1910 Germany. Utilizing double-entendres, verbal jousting and expertly-timed door slams, the 90-minute comedy can be summed up in one line of dialogue: "Never underestimate the power of a glimpse of lingerie."
