Jacqueline McElroy-Poquette is a Life Member with a long career here at the BCP. She directed last year’s popular 2nd Stage production of Screen to Stage. A director of an eclectic mixture of dramas, musicals and comedies including the award winning The Melody Lingers On, Sondheim’s Follies in Concert and The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Jackie is looking forward to “Virginia Woolfâ€, her first go at Edward Albee. Other directing credits include The Rose Tattoo, Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, The Lonesome West, The Most Happy Fella, 1776, Equus, Pygmalion, Roshamon, All My Sons, The Importance of Being Ernest, The Little Foxes, The Heiress, The Mikado, Damn Yankees, Cabaret, and The Pirates of Penzance. Jackie teaches voice & piano privately at home, and with husband Ray, enjoys competing in dog shows with their four dogs, three of which are Samoyed show dogs.
