ORADELL, NJ, March 13, 2017 - Bergen County Players (BCP) continues its 84th season with Night Watch, an ingeniously devised thriller written by Lucille Fletcher, opening March 25th, 2017.  The play is directed by veteran director Jerry Hurley, and will run through April 22nd, 2017 at the Little Firehouse Theatre, 298 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. The curtain is at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. Tickets may be purchased online at www.bcplayers.org, by calling 201-261-4200 or by visiting the box office during regular box office hours.

NIGHT WATCH centers on a woman, who “thinks” she witnesses a murder in the house next door.  Did she?  Was she imagining it? Everyone has a theory but who is right?  When asked why he chose this production, Director Jerry Hurley says, “In the old fashioned genre of mysteries, this play Night Watch fits so nicely into that mold. It keeps its ending a total surprise and it drops clues throughout the play.”

Jerry Hurley (Director) is a life member with Bergen County Players for over 40 years.  He has performed onstage and directed many shows including mysteries, comedies, dramas, radio shows, and children’s show, as well as worked backstage on the sets of too many plays to mention.  Jerry was a member of the Executive Board as 2nd Vice President, Chairman of the Play and Casting Committee, and uncountable years as the head of BCP’s Workshop Committee.  Jerry has always said that BCP fits very comfortably in the definition of A COMMUNITY THEATER where, when help is needed on a show, members are there with needles and thread, hammers and saws, paint and brushes, and crews to help run the shows from backstage.

The talented cast of Night Watch includes Clayton Cardoso of New Milford, as Sam Hoke; Richard Ciero of Oradell, as Vanelli; Rosella DeVincenzo of New Milford, as Helga; Hedieh Fidanza of Spring Valley NY, as Blanche; Karli Jewett of Westwood, as Elaine; Howard Kerner of Teaneck, as Curtis Appleby; Chantel Pittman of Spring Valley NY, as Dr. Tracy Lake; Vincent Schera of West Nyack, NY as Lt. Walker and Larry Shagawat of Clifton, as John.

The crew of Night Watch includes Meri Apfel (Producer), Kathleen Ruland (Assistant Director), Michele Roth (Stage Manager), Michael Smith (Set Construction / Set Design), Rhea Smith (Set Décor), Ray Poquette (Lighting Design), Sandra Conklin (Lighting Operator), Robert DeScherer (Sound Design), Andrew Whitney (Sound Operation), Lynne Lupfer (Costumes), Jennifer Beza (Costumes), Barbra Murtha (Properties), Kahyo Eguchi (Properties), Edie Orlando (Hair and Makeup), Nicole Parente (Hair and Makeup), Jennifer Cottone (Publicity), Rosaria Caporrimo (Biographies), Doria E. Hillsman (Biographies), Michael Smith (Photography) and  James Lugo (Member at Large).
