ELLYN ESSIG (Set Décor), a BCP Life Member, has designed décor for more than 30 BCP shows, most recently Seascape.

She received the Perry Award for Outstanding Production of a Play for her direction here of Steel Magnolias, the Perry for Outstanding Scenic Design for The Lion in Winter, and received Perry nominations for Scenic Design for Angel Street and Ruthless! The Musical. For her work at Players Guild of Leonia, she was nominated for a Perry for Outstanding Musical for her direction of The Toxic Avenger. Recently, Ellyn was nominated for Best Featured Actress for her portrayal of the Angel of Death in Romeo & Juliet.

Her directing credits on other stages include Witch, Ghost Train, Pippin, Getting Away With Murder, Hair, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Catch Me If You Can, Veronica’s Room, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and A Christmas Carol. Ellyn is a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild and has appeared in theatrical productions in NY, NJ, and California.
